Use resources (investigations options and staff resources, session time) in a rational manner within established protocols and guidelines.

Respect the guidelines, protocols and practice standards in the area of clinical practice

Communicate effectively and offer advice to inpatients referred for evaluation by hospital specialists, within a reasonable timeframe.

Give verbal advice to GPs that call for assistance.

Participate in and attend clinical departmental meetings

Referrals will be made based on departmental policies developed under the direction of the HOD.
