* To perform independent diagnostic radiography, CT/ Sonography, including Abdominal, Gynaecological and Chest and small parts such as thyroid, testicular and breast examinations. * To examine the patient's medical history and determine the best scanning technique to show any abnormalities, lesions, malfunctions, or diseases. * To review and research prior studies or other imaging studies relating to the current exam. This information can be used to inform other consultants about the case and provide interpretation. * To identify when additional scans or other positions are required to fully illustrate the lesion. Recognizing an undiagnosed mass or lesion in your pancreas and taking additional views / images. * To identify organs that are difficult to visualize and make adjustments in patient positions or use scan techniques to improve their illustration. * To summarize the results of an exam. * To assess the psychological and physical needs of patients. * To assist other Consultants with special scan procedures. * To learn sterile and antiseptic techniques, set up specific sterile containers, instruments and lab containers relevant to the exam. * To inspect equipment daily for potential problems. * Responsible for radiological safety, and proper disposal of radioactive substances. * To approve the nurses to be the technicians roasters so that the equipment is available for use by sufficient staff. * To instruct the technicians/nurses on proper equipment use. Maintain good inter- and intra-departmental coordination. Participate in and contribute to departmental quality initiatives. * To keep track of the performance and objectives of departments. * To collect data or assist in data collection. To follow safety guidelines and to protect both patients and staff. * To do any job or task that is assigned by the superior.
